PLS Board Welcomes New Member
Julie Halfacre joins the PLS Board as a representative of the Association for Learned and Professional Society Publishers.
We are delighted to welcome Julie Halfacre as the new ALPSP representative on the PLS Board.
Julie is the Head of Rights, Licensing and Permissions at BMJ Group, bringing more than 30 years of experience in publishing. She began her career in marketing and institutional-facing roles before moving into rights and licensing. In her current role she is responsible for global content licensing, working with a wide variety of partners.
While Julie's role has a strong commercial focus, Julie is passionate about the ethical and legal dissemination of BMJ content, supporting responsible approaches to licensing and permissions. Additionally, Julie is a member of the STM Permissions Group, the ALPSP Policy Committee, and an alumni member of the STM Intellectual Property Committee.
We are excited to have Julie joining the PLS Board and look forward to benefiting from her extensive industry experience and expertise while strengthening our partnership in the years ahead.
