PLS Board Welcomes New Member

The meeting of the Publishers’ Licensing Services (PLS) board on 27 November saw a change to the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) board representation.

The meeting was the last for experienced intellectual property expert Andrew Yeates, who joined the PLS board 13 years ago and has provided invaluable advice throughout, including recent regulatory changes caused by Brexit and Covid.

Andrew will be replaced as a PPA representative on the board by Matt Cianfarani. Matt is a managing director at MA Financial Media, part of the Mark Allen Group, a family-owned B2B media and events business specialising in health and social care, aviation, telecoms, engineering, agriculture, and financial services.

Matt is responsible for rights and licensing across Mark Allen’s entire magazine and journal portfolio and has been with the company for over 20 years, overseeing over 25 media and event acquisitions.

We would like to thank Andrew for all his assistance over the years and wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours whilst also warmly welcoming Matt to PLS, whom we look forward to working with and benefitting from his experience and industry knowledge.
