Introducing PLS Collect
On 3 March 2025, publishers logging in to PLS Account Manager will see a new name: PLS Collect.
We’re very excited to tell you all about PLS Collect.
Collective licensing is PLS’ core activity, and we’ve decided to wrap up all our collective licensing work into one service – PLS Collect – to better integrate it into our family of services, including the award-winning PLSclear.
The refreshed service will continue to provide publishers with direct access to UK and international collective licensing whilst enabling them to easily manage and track licensing via a user-friendly platform, with regular payments when content is used. Registered publishers will benefit from responsive helpdesk support and regular licensing updates, with our team working closely with trusted licensing partners to oversee and develop effective collective licensing solutions.
What you need to know:
1. If your organisation is already registered with PLS for collective licensing you will not need to take action or make any changes.
2. From 3 March, the familiar Account Manager service will be known as PLS Collect and all existing settings and data will remain the same.
3. The introduction of PLS Collect will have no effect on our family of services, such as PLS Clear, PLS Rights and Licensing Hub, and Access to Research.
4. The formal documentation that together make up accounts for collective licensing: the PLS Collect Account Form, General Terms and Conditions, the PLS Distribution Charter, and the PLS Code of Conduct, will be updated with the new branding and made available on the PLS website for reference.
This refresh reinforces our commitment to supporting publishers both through our core collective licensing service and the other services that PLS proudly provides, and we look forward to working with you in the years ahead.
