CLA Higher Education Licence Enhancements Publisher Consultation
Proposed enhancements to the current Higher Education Licence terms, due to take effect at the beginning of the new licence term on 1 August 2024.
We are pleased to confirm that the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) has reached agreement in principle with the Copyright Negotiating and Advisory Committee (CNAC), the body responsible for negotiating licensing on behalf of the UK’s higher education sector, on a new three-year higher education licensing agreement. Subject to final approval, this will be put in place for the beginning of the new licence term on 1 August 2024.
The agreement is contingent on some modest enhancements to the licence and so, as with all such proposed changes to licence terms, we are inviting your feedback and questions.
